  1. Silly Question #4096. Destination Charging

    First Generation Ioniq
There is a recall for the locking mechanism: Recall 70C095. I just got a letter about it.
  2. Every ones average mpkwh

    First Generation Ioniq
Yes, there are circumstances that you may feel a need to decrease your speed faster. Then you can either use the regen paddles or the brake pedal for regen. Both have the same effect, as long as you do it in a gradual and not abrupt manner.
  3. Every ones average mpkwh

    First Generation Ioniq
No regen and no braking is the best. Let the car roll by itself without regen and without braking if you want to decrease speed. In cases that this is not possible take a long distance to gradually slow down, either by the brake pedal or by the paddles, the effect is the same. The key point is...
  4. Ioniq Range Advice

    First Generation Ioniq
Currently I often get between 9.2 and 9.5 kWh/100 km (6.8 to 6.5 mi/kWh), which is almost as good as your number 6.9 mi/kWh. For the range indication at the moment I get 271 km, which is 168 miles.
  5. Ioniq EV Battery Conditioning System

    First Generation Ioniq
Yes, they advertise with it, claiming that in Wintertime you still have a good range due to this battery heating system.

    First Generation Ioniq
But there should also be battery heating to cope with cold weather.
  7. What speed charging do you get from Ecotricity CCS?

    First Generation Ioniq
Yes, so such a transaction comes together with administration of what was delivered and what was paid, isn't it?
  8. Real world range of Ioniq EV?

    First Generation Ioniq
Your car needs more time to know what type of person you are... It is just confused.
  9. What speed charging do you get from Ecotricity CCS?

    First Generation Ioniq
You don't get an invoice or electronic administration specifying what was delivered for what price?
  10. What speed charging do you get from Ecotricity CCS?

    First Generation Ioniq
This would suggest that the charger is actually a 70 kW charger. Maybe it was upgraded but they did not adapt the 45 kW indication? Can you also calculate how much in kWh came in the car during what time period? If you divide these numbers you also get an estimate for the average power entering...
  11. Real world range of Ioniq EV?

    First Generation Ioniq
What exactly did you do? Drive what speed? For the full battery this would give you 79 miles, which is extremely low. Did you drive 90-100 mi/h?
  12. Ioniq EV Battery Conditioning System

    First Generation Ioniq
A 100% indicated charged battery is 90% or 95% (not completely clear) of the real charge. Over the years this percentage of 90% or 95% will gradually be increased to compensate for degradation. I usually charge it up to 70% or 80% indicated to have more margin; I do that when there is left...
  13. Ioniq EV Battery Conditioning System

    First Generation Ioniq
Having the car for more than half a year by now, and after several attempts to get information about how the Battery Conditioning System works, it still remains a mystery. Also dealers do not know it, it seems. Many of us have experienced periods of hot weather by now; what are our experiences...
  14. Real world range of Ioniq EV?

    First Generation Ioniq
Yesterday morning after charging to 100% I got a 265 km (165 miles) range indication. This is after a few weeks in which I mostly drove on highways at 85-105 km/h (53-65 mi/h). Yesterday I drove a 200 km (124 mi) round trip also mostly on highways, this time a bit faster than usual at 90-110...
  15. Ioniq user software

    First Generation Ioniq
The option to specify off-peak hours can be confusing, as that is separate from the real scheduling of the charging.
