  1. 'Myleaf' preheat anomaly

    Nissan LEAF24 & LEAF30
I'm beginning to wonder if the temperature hasn't dropped low enough to trigger the central vent airflow and high fan speed lately. Perhaps the 'Myleaf' pre-heat was coincidental. As you said, 'auto' setting is not programmable, according to the manual. There doesn't seem to be a fault with the...
  2. 'Myleaf' preheat anomaly

    Nissan LEAF24 & LEAF30
Thanks for the reply, I tend to agree with your summation. What confuses me is that the car has always blasted hot air out of the central vents when switching on in cold weather. It now uses the floor vents at a low fan speed in similar temperatures. I'm assuming the settings it uses are based...

Cheers, I'm quite confident, there's a lot of expertise on this forum.
  4. 'Myleaf' preheat anomaly

    Nissan LEAF24 & LEAF30
Hi folks, I have a 2015, 24kwh Tekna. Since buying the car 2 years ago, I have had climate control set on 'auto' between 20/21 degrees. If it's cold, on startup, the heater blasts hot air out of the central and side vents warming up the car in no time, I love it. I've been using the 'Myleaf' App...
  5. Green Number Plates?

    Nissan LEAF24 & LEAF30
Just read this article in The Telegraph, not sure if it's just a suggestion. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/09/08/low-polluting-cars-given-green-number-plates-badge-honour-scheme/
  6. Nissan EV app and Android 10

Thanks, it's good to know it's in hand. I won't, however, hold my breath.
  7. Nissan EV app and Android 10

    Nissan LEAF24 & LEAF30
I believe there are different versions depending on your vehicle, I have a 2015 Tekna 24 kWh. This app is named 'Nissan EV' (version 3.01, I believe) on my Android app list. I only upgraded it a few months ago as the previous version failed and required an uninstall before installing v.3.01.
  8. 12v Advice

    Nissan LEAF24 & LEAF30
My 2015 Tekna 24kWh has a Renault branded battery which I believe to be original.
  9. Nissan EV app and Android 10

    Nissan LEAF24 & LEAF30
The Nissan EV app launches with a black screen and hangs up after my phone was upgraded to Android 10. I've heard this has happened to other users on this site so I half expected it. My Leaf still works OK although I've always used Nissan Ev for remote heating/air con, I presume My Leaf does the...
  10. Should I pre-emptively replace my 12V battery?

    Nissan LEAF24 & LEAF30
My 2015 24kWh leaf's original12v battery has never given me any problems. I too read many posts on here about the 12v battery failing. I bought a combined twin USB port and digital voltmeter for about £7, this plugs into the 12v 'cigarette lighter' socket and gives a constant readout when the...
  11. Auto Wipers on Tekna

    Nissan LEAF24 & LEAF30
I find the auto wipers on my 24kWh Tekna great. I adjusted it on the steering wheel stalk and it works well. Yes, it does seem to go crazy occasionally or not switch the wipers on when the screen is wet. I've found that selecting manual and then back to auto generally sorts it out.
  12. Nissan Connect down

    Nissan LEAF24 & LEAF30
I had trouble with 3.3, it doesn't update. I found I had to uninstall the previous version before installing 3.3. Subject to Nissan servers it now works fine. I also use 'My Leaf' which seems to access the servers when the Nissan app won't connect.
  13. Budget tyre choices for 17 inch wheels

    Succinct and accurate.
  14. Budget tyre choices for 17 inch wheels

    Nissan LEAF24 & LEAF30
I think there was a discount for buying 2 and a higher discount for 4, I've still 4/5mm on the rears so just bought 2. If you're still legal, I would keep an eye on the various sites as offers come along regularly.
  15. 12v Advice

    Nissan LEAF24 & LEAF30
I am still on the original 12v battery (September 2015 Leaf 24kWh), I have a voltmeter/USB port continuously plugged into the cigarette lighter socket. When the car is running it reads approx 12.8v, when the car has been left overnight it reads 14.4. It is obviously being charged by the traction...
