  1. Clock has no time / digits all of a sudden?

    Kia Soul EV
AnotherJoe I did take the SD card out and reinsert, didn't work straight away but went for a drive an hour or so later and the clock seems to be working again.
  2. Clock has no time / digits all of a sudden?

    Kia Soul EV
As I use the timer to charge my car it failed to charge, 2 days in a row. I didn't work out it was the clock at fault until today! Seems to have fixed itself but the lack of a charged car meant I had to use the electric highway to charge up yesterday on the way back home from the airport. Pretty...
  3. servicing your Soul EV

    Kia Soul EV
Do you have to call a Kia dealership yourself and get a service after a year? Just noticed I had mine for 15 months and I've not heard boo. I would have normally thought the car or the dealer bugs you to go get a service.
  4. Bjorn Live Race Soul EV v iPace tomorrow !!

    Kia Soul EV
Bjorn's on the road again...i-pace still in the pits...
  5. What extra range has the 30kWh (useable) got?

    Kia Soul EV
I do mostly motorway miles and its range is roughly 125 in summer 105 in winter, take about 5 miles off those numbers for usable range. That's at roughly 65 mi/hr but my avg speed and range varies due to traffic. When in traffic, range obviously increases a fair bit due to the stop/start nature...

  7. Electric car spotting

    General EV Discussion
Not sure if this has been done before. Seeing as there's more and more electric cars on the road these days, here's a fun test for your reticular activating system! Name all the EVs you seen on your last single journey. They must be driving... So today I saw; BMW i8 Zoe ZE40 Leaf 30KwH...
  8. Used Renault Zoe for my first car

    Renault ZOE
It was my Zoe that had 2 PECs replaced and a motor. The dealer had no idea why it went twice, but presumably the dodgy motor killed the 1st replacement. I had a whole thread on the experience somewhere...
  9. Used Renault Zoe for my first car

    Renault ZOE
That's the module which includes the inverter. PEC for R240, PEB for Q210. It's the most expensive piece of kit on the car, excluding the battery. List price is around £4k+ for PEC. A broken one without insurance can easily write off the car.
  10. GOM is climbing.

    Kia Soul EV
My GOM is stubbornly resisting, this morning 106 which it has been 105-107 all winter. This despite having recently done 110 mi on a single charge with 17 mi left. I do a lot of motorway miles, so maybe that's it?
  11. Handing back at end of PCP - and servicing..

    Renault ZOE
I kept my Zoe for an extra 3 weeks at the end of the PCP (I gave notice on the last day, but it took a while for Mannheim to schedule it in which suited me fine because the new Soul was slightly delayed...), I don't think I paid any extra other than excess mileage and a £57 damage bill - my...
  12. Our Soul ;) - Update 09/2/2018

    Kia Soul EV
I use Android auto every day and it works like a dream. And I've only got a cheap Xiaomi Redmi 3s. Today google told me there's an accident on the motorway, then found me an alternative route which saved me 30 min of waiting in a massive queue. I've not tried using waze yet, but might give it a...
  13. When did your MY2018 Soul EV arrive?

    Kia Soul EV
I ordered late Nov 17, and told Drive Electric I need it by end of Dec. They said we can do it, as long as the colour is white (they told me there was an order already in the system, that the dealers can grab after someone cancels, or something). Got delayed slightly and picked up mid Jan 18 in...
  14. New Soul user.

    Kia Soul EV
Got mine last week as well in white. It seems to be the least popular colour - but to be honest I'm surprised more Man City fans aren't driving around in them :D
  15. Keep an eye on the Manheim inspector!

    Renault ZOE
Had my inspection recently and I had a tiny dent on the drivers door, and they marked no charge for that, but did charge £53 for a wheel scuff which was more than 50mm.
