  1. Renault ditches battery lease on New Zoe following class-leading residuals

    Renault ZOE
You are funny. Haven't you noticed owners are and will always be moaning? I wish this thread would slowly die, or in a ditch, whatever, but here I am, responding ;) A bit like what brake should I use at the traffic light
  2. Is there any way to charge Zoe overnight without app

    Renault ZOE
@jim2 Can I ask how old your Q90 is? I am asking because I am fairly sure my last firmware update was in september 2017 (the SOH and long balancing issue( and I am assuming the software was fixed sometime before that. I would be surprised if your was was from a later date and still have had the...
  3. 2013 (63) zoe 22kw vs 2016 (16) 22kw zoe real world range for city driving

    Renault ZOE
The ZOE heater uses significantly LESS than the early leafs as it is a heat pump system which is far more efficient (at least 3oo%) than the old simple resistive heating. It's really no comparison.
  4. Zoe Fans Stopped Working

    Renault ZOE
    Yes
  5. Zoe Fans Stopped Working

    Renault ZOE
If that solves it, it's of course the controller that lost it's mind temporarily, see the F3 description. RIghtmost column, lowest fuse (just above the two bigger vertically mounted ones)
  6. Zoe Fans Stopped Working

    Renault ZOE
Fuse for the motor itself (so not for any controller) is F40. That is a fat 40A or 48A fuse at the far top left side of the fuse panel, small column of 3, the lowest one.
  7. Completely unable to schedule a charge - any ideas?

    Renault ZOE
That is bloody interesting as R-Link has nothing to do at all with scheduled charging. AFAIK it's the TCU managing the schedule and waking up the car. So I am a bit confused. Then the scheduled charging has always a bit "strange". But: it works and that's what counts (y)
  8. Renault ditches battery lease on New Zoe following class-leading residuals

    Renault ZOE
Caveats: I fully confess I am biassed against VW. Way too expensive in general, hyped, diesel-gate. In general I agree with virtually all your posts Lets agree almost all car makers had to be dragged into the EV market kicking and screaming and still are With that out of the way: Yeah right...
  9. Stupidly basic question - how to pull away?

    Renault ZOE
Assuming of course this is right (and why wouldn't it be?), I fully and humbly retract my moaning post (y)
  10. 200.000 ZOEs produced

    Renault ZOE
    Great
  11. 200.000 ZOEs produced

    Renault ZOE
Title says it all, as reported on the Dutch forum. Looks like it is destined for my country too. http://www.leparisien.fr/val-de-marne-94/flins-l-usine-renault-sort-la-200-000e-zoe-de-ses-chaines-25-11-2019-8201784.php
  12. Stupidly basic question - how to pull away?

    Renault ZOE
@Cloud Assuming Android please enroll in the beta first to get 1.49beta2 if you want to do it now. I think I have it nailed (finally), but then I always do.
  13. Slow Charging

    Renault ZOE
Time to copy an old blog post I guess....... When time is money (both re. your own time as well as how the operator calculates the rates), the following guidelines will help you, especially in winter. The’re all fairly obvious: 1. Try to avoid fast-charging starting at a high SOC to avoid...
  14. Stupidly basic question - how to pull away?

    Renault ZOE
nitpick: They were always measured independently, just nothing but a warning shown when the system decided something was not right. I usually loathe the moaning posts, but opening the charger flap through app (only), boot being deemed more important? WT*???? Who makes this up? The boot has a...
  15. Fixing pedestrian warning system switch

    Renault ZOE
4 wires go to that little switch, pin numbers between brackets. Black [5]to ground, two pink ones to the horn itself: one [4] is switching to ground, the other [7] is the LED, also to ground. Then there is a blue wire [8], also wired to an LED in the switch, but it runs to the power...
  16. Slow Charging

    Renault ZOE
    Just select R90
  17. £1581.42 for a thumb-sized piece of plastic

    Renault ZOE
    Honestly don't know
  18. £1581.42 for a thumb-sized piece of plastic

    Renault ZOE
Like this? Horn and VPS are on the left hand side of the car, but I think you can spot the horn.
  19. 40 v 22 Regen - Are they different?

    Renault ZOE
What exactly do you mean? The "foots off" negative torque? The question is much more complicated than it seems. First, there is a maximum power intake the battery can handle, depending mostly on SOC and cell temperature. To have a fair comparison you'd have to have both cars at a fairly low SOC...
