  1. Reasonably solid information about forthcoming superchargers

    General Tesla Motors Discussion
Hopefully its for the Northbound side? :D
  2. Volkswagen iD3 77kWh only 4 seater

    Volkswagen ID.3
I agree but then I think we pay way too much Tax on our salaries too etc. Look at it this way..... £1600 works out to £266 per year if you own the car 1-6 years. That's only 73p per day, add this to my usual £2.50 - £ 3.50 for electricity, it's nothing in the grand scheme of things when I sam...
  3. Has Supercharger pair sharing changed?

    General Tesla Motors Discussion
I guess Tesla want to share the bandwidth 50/50 going forwards. Perhaps in preparation for upgraded hardware that can delivery full charge to both stalls like the new v3 Superchargers. :)
  4. Volkswagen iD3 77kWh only 4 seater

    Volkswagen ID.3
I do understand that the £40k luxury tax is putting a lot of people off, however it only equates to £1600 in total, so not a big deal when you factor in all the advantages that some £40k+ EV's offer. :)
  5. Volkswagen iD3 77kWh only 4 seater

    Volkswagen ID.3
I recommend you consider the Tesla Model 3 ;) Plenty of room, performance, efficiency and technology.
  6. Mud Flaps & Aero Wheels.

    Tesla Model 3
I wouldn't bother with mud flaps, they look strange. :D
  7. Number plate holders

    Tesla Model 3
A lot of Tesla owners insist that you must get rid of the original Tesla plate holders etc.... most who have gone down this route will be upset to learn that when taking off the registration plates, their is a risk it will rip the paint clean off your bumbers!!! :o
  8. Volkswagen ID3 has massive software problems

    Volkswagen ID.3

Looks like more bad news from Volkswagen..... Report From Denmark: Volkswagen ID.3 Delayed Until August 2020 JAN 06, 2020 at 2:03PM By: Mark Kane The launch of the Volkswagen ID.3 limited edition 1ST might not be going as smoothly as previously anticipated. Volkswagen ID.3 prebookers from...
  10. Reasonably solid information about forthcoming superchargers

    General Tesla Motors Discussion
The J33 Rotherham / Sheffield Gateway Services has recently had its planning permission granted. This is going to be build / run by AppleGreen. I have already emailed them regarding the possibility of Tesla Supercharger (v3) viability :) News: Applegreen for go - £40m Rotherham motorway service...
  11. Tesla service - what can I expect?

    Tesla Model 3
The best way to book a service visit via your phone is to also include in the report that you need a loan car. I did this and they allocated me a Model S 85D for a couple of days. My experience with my local SC was mixed however it wasn't a complete disaster. I am certain things will improve...
  12. %charge indication drop

    Tesla Model 3
Elon's definition of "fine" could mean anything ;) There have been some good Tesla battery articles / forum posts by actual battery experts who have gone into some pretty detailed testing / research. I am happy with the 20-80% range as it works for me. Charge to 100% when doing long (rare) trips. :)
  13. Power Washing M3

    Tesla Model 3
I use a pressure washer and had not problems, what you have to keep in mind is not to use the jet to close to the paint work, high pressure close up will eventually damage paintwork if it catches a chip / weak point on the paintwork etc.
  14. %charge indication drop

    Tesla Model 3
Congratulations on the car :) If your daily commute is only 30%, I would recommend that you only charge to 80% SoC. I do around 100 miles a day and I only charge to 80% SoC. If you can keep your usage between 20-80%, this helps the battery in terms of long-term degradation. I would imagine there...
  15. Bjørn’s 1000km Winter Test

    Tesla Model 3
Model 3 Performance :) I do around 95-100 miles a day and stick to the speed limits, 85% of the trip is on the M1 @ 70mph. HVAC always on between 20-21 and driving using Auto-Pilot where possible.
  16. Bjørn’s 1000km Winter Test

    Tesla Model 3
I have covered around 5,800 miles and I have got 329 Wh/mi since I bought the car. (Sept 29th) :)
  17. Basic Standard Model 3 in the UK

    Tesla Model 3
I think a lot of people are forgetting that when Elon promised the $35k Model 3, that was a US price excluding UK VAT etc. Then on top of this factor in the current currency rates etc, I bet it’s not far off what the current price is :) Even now the UK SR+ represents a good price compared to its...
