  1. Hyundai Kona
I got my new Kona EV 2020 Premium this week. And I am full of ideas to upgrade this machine. Does any one have an service manual of the Kona EV to take some parts apart? I was interested in removing the mid console to install some extra USB socket for the back. And if the there is any room...

My Leaf charges normally on all charge points, chademo, granny and my home 16A Rolec chargepoint. However when the timer is set and I plug into my Rolec charger and the Li-on battery is low, the charger connects with a small thump as normal and then disconnects as normal (because the timer is...
  3. Volkswagen Golf GTE
Hello good people, I've had my '16 GTE for 9 months now and really enjoying the driving experience, and charging, compared to my old Porsche Cayman! I cycle all over London and can't stand breathing in muck so decided to move on up and do my best for an electric that I can drive as normal if I...
  4. First Generation Ampera and Volt
Anybody had this light and message? I'm guessing it's the 12v battery it's referring to not the traction battery. Is this one of those random faults caused by 12v battery failing? It's a 2013 and still on the original 12v battery as far as I know. Torque lite reports 12.0v-12.2v.

Hi Sorry a couple of daft questions as I am not sure I fully understand some of this yet! In the manual for the 2014 Leaf it mentions that the 12v battery gets charged by the Li-Ion battery. Is this definitely the case and so does it cause a reduction in range if the 12v battery is weak? Also...
  6. First Gen Nissan LEAF (LEAF24 & LEAF30)
Picked up a smart 4-stage charger for my 12 volt yesterday. Nice LCD display of voltage, only £13. Now to find a way of permanently mounting it under the bonnet!
  7. First Gen Nissan LEAF (LEAF24 & LEAF30)
It occurs to me that the time I spend sitting in my car while it charges could be usefully emplyed, and one thing I could do with that it is to vacuum the inside if the car. To do this I suppose I need a mini vacuum cleaner that: 1) can run off the 12v socket. 2) fit comfortably in the glove...
