In 15 years - 300k miles. Say 200 miles (average) to a charge - that’s 1500 charge cycles on the battery.
there are quite a few Tesla’s around with that mileage and relatively little battery deg. I’ve seen a couple of FB posts of ID3’s with 100k (km) and no problems.
but in 15 years time - I suspect there will be several million MEB based cars on the road - all sharing the same battery pack / config. If there is not an OEM or other supplier making replacement/upgraded/larger/better battery chemistry etc… packs in ten years time I’ll eat my vegan leather seat covers 😂 (they might be easier to digest by then too).
or we’ll (equally likely?) not be driving ourselves anyway! And the concept of sole car ownership will be as daft as buying a CD might seem to many people nowadays.
got to dash - crystal ball is calling me 😂
