I've ordered my home charge station today and I decided to go for the 32 amp. Have I done the right thing? Is it going to cost more for me to charge?

Nope, the car will only take what it needs! If that means it's finished in 3 hours at 32amps instead of six hours at 16amps it's still used the same total power. Does your Leaf have the upgraded 6.6kw charger?

Did you go for a socketed charger? I went for a 32A type 2 for the leaf (which is 16A type 1!) as future proofing. WIth a Type 2 32A i3 ordered for next year that foresight has paid off :)
