3.0 OTA - who has it?

Hi,

I took my ID4 into the garage a few months ago, to upgrade software ready for the 3.0 OTA upgrade. The car was in the garage for 4 days as the update took this long.

I am yet to receive an OTA upgrade to 3.0 - has anyone else in the UK had this yet?

Thanks.

I signed up for the trial and got the email last week to say they were now rolling it out, but then my car went offline and has been unable to connect ever since. I have not pulled fuse 19 out yet, just giving it time to reconnect on its own. It seems more than co-incidence for the car to go offline the same day I get an email to say the upgrade it finally on its way!

Mine has just started its update, I read you have to sit in the car for 60 seconds before starting it and sure enough the update appeared as soon as I stopped the car again on the goodbye screen.

Fingers crossed Ill still have a working car in the morning.

Let us know how it went.
Stage 1 went ok, strange warning light when I first got back in the car to say there was an issue with the lights but that has gone away on its own now and the lights seem to be working fine, and I had to mess around with the app to get it working again (delete vehicle and re-pair), but so far it is ok.

Waiting for the second download to complete now, there is no indication it is doing anything, I assume it will just pop up like the first one did. Ill test scheduled charging after the second download as there seems little point until I have both.

Did you follow the instructions on the V3.0 OTA web page on the VW site to re-register the WeConnectID app or did you just do it by trial and error? (https://www.volkswagen.co.uk/en/own...-update/software-update-3-0.html#installation)
I didn't realise there was a website page devoted to the upgrade so I just used trial and error, just deleting the car from the app and re-registering.

Part 2 of the update has been downloaded and installed now, I had the same error (cornering light error) come up initially but that has gone away just like the first time when I started the car and not returned. All the lights work fine.

The system info page now shows I have v3.0.0

I will test the scheduled charge as soon as I have depleted the battery a bit, my wife is in hospital at the moment and they have a free pod point charger in the car park so I'm using that right now!

I hope they roll the update out to the masses soon based on my experience.

Yes, it asked me for an S-Pin, I entered a pin number I could remember, but ticked the remember pin box and it has never asked me again.

I can also confirm the scheduled charging does indeed now work after the OTA 3.0 update, finally!

There is a lot of moaning in the group, mainly daily posts as to when will I get version 3, VW just post once a month or so and it tends to get repeated here anyway.
