I drove over one of our weighbridges today - my new Ampera weighs in at 1,700 Kg. or 1.7 Tonnes. That is even heavier than the fully equipped Rover 75 CDTi that I enjoyed driving for many years and I thought that was a lot of car! The weight distribution was recorded as 1,030 Kg. ( 61%) front wheels and 670 Kg. (39%) rear.

Had the thing 3 and a bit years :) Best car I've had.
Looked up the weight when I first had it along with the controls. Found the forum few weeks later.

About 600kg is the battery, I believe. The Kona is an almost identical weight, despite being shorter, due to having a battery with about 5 times the capacity. That's how much battery density has come on in about 7 years...
