Here's my morning so far;
Car has been sat idle on drive since last Friday am, so one whole week, outside in cold.
Started at 80% charge. -2 degrees C
Warmed the car up for 7/8 minutes, disconnected from charger, so just on the battery.** - will come back to this later.
Drove to Tesco. Went shopping. Bought a Costa coffee.
Charged up at 11kW from 70% to 85% while shopping and drinking coffee. For free.
Drove home.
Arrived home with 81%.
0 degrees C
Heating at 18C (had a big coat on), seats and steering wheel on first setting all journeys.

Issues:
1. Front assist warning for first 45 seconds or so, then cleared - probably an icy sensor somewhere.
2. ** App didn't want to know for remote heating turn on - was OK until a day or so ago, then reverted to the "simpler view" of heating controls - suspect the car gos into some sort of sleep / hibernation, as as soon as I turned car on to warm it up, app was back to normal.

That's it.

Things that worked perfectly; ACC, speed limit recognition, wireless CarPlay, Id.light (at true junctions), satnav...everything basically.

Going out only managed 2.3 mi/kWh, but that's not really surprising as it spent 7/8 minutes "idling" defrosting at the start. Did notice that at first set of traffic lights, consumption was 7.2 kW, so suspect still a lot of battery heating going on.
Return journey - 3.1mi/kWh - so much better after charging.
This is for 9 miles at average of something like 35mph, mixed roads, mixed traffic, typical town-based commuting. Absolutely no babying or eco driving - just drove it as a car.

This post is by no means intended to diminish or deny the experiences of other who have issues, merely to highlight that there's something solid underneath the problems.

I mostly enjoy the peace and calm of the cabin. I imagine it will be even nicer in the summer heat.
I also did a rare A road overtake the other day and it was like ‘sh$t off a shovel’ that was cool...
I’m pretty sure the ID.3 exceeds its published performance figures, both 0-60 and in-gear.

I’ve got a V-Box that I used to use for track days and testing, it’s on long term loan to one of my brothers at the moment, and as I haven’t seen him in 9 months due to Covid I don’t know when I’ll get it back.

I’ll be interested to get some figures with it though.

I can understand the ride being down to taste but not a reduction in road noise.

It might be particular frequencies that are reduced more as it's most noticable on a concrete section on the A14. At other times I don't really pay much attention to it but the concrete section is really noticably noisy when it starts in most cars but in the ID it stood out as it wasn't that intrusive.

I assume you are going from memory as most people seem to have traded in their e-Golfs, I'm still driving both so maybe it stands out more to me.

What a great picture! And yeah, took mine over to the dump today as I finally got a lockdown slot loaded up with rubbish that's been filling up my garage. Not a fun day out really, but at least a rare opportunity for a drive during these lockdown times. I must say, on 2.0 it is just such a nice car. As I learn about it more and more, even things that irritated me about it at first I'm learning aren't problems. I was perturbed at first about there being no mute button for the audio, but now I know that a fast swipe down on the volume touch slider thing mutes it and is just as easy to do. Every drive I'm learning another little thing like that which makes me even happier.

I mean, no car is perfect - I've posted in other threads that I miss having rear speakers - but a couple of details like that aside, I really have nothing negative to report. It's early days still for me, but I can see this being the best car I've ever owned by a long shot!

Here's another thumbs up for 2.0 - mine was 2.0 from factory and has performed flawlessly so far (ignoring Internet Radio notifications) - very happy with the car, and glad I've not been through the misery some of you have experienced!

My only niggle is that my single-zone aircon is missing some functionality (no voice control or Smart Climate) - I think this is a 'feature' of 2.0 on single-zone systems, but waiting for dealer to confirm with VW.

Yes it seems there are various shortcuts in the UI. I found that you can also mute audio by a touch on the on/off button briefly or a swipe.
A long hold will switch off the screen and bring up a clock, which you can swipe for different clock faces.
Touch above the heated seats to bring up climate (same as pressing the climate button).
A two-fingered tap on the temperature slider will switch on seat heating. Repeat to adjust the level. Use the applicable side for the seat.

Oh, nice! I knew some of that, but not the on/off button to mute or the two-fingered tap on the temperature slider for seat heating. Will try that out next time I find a reasonable lockdown excuse to drive somewhere!

Back to being the silent majority!
Glad to hear that the majority are so happy. This comes against a backdrop of negative stories about other manufacturers products which show the difficulties in getting a modern car right, let alone one that is new from the ground up including the programming language.
