I’m a happy owner of a Renault Kangoo ZE33. Despite the upgraded battery (compared to the 22 kWh) the range and/or the time of charging (7,4 kW) can be an issue.
May you help me pick out the best/most realistic solution when it comes to simplicity and cost
1) Add an additional Kangoo 33 kWh-battery in the load area and make it parallel with the original. Doubles the range, losing some space, also doubles the time of charge…
2) Install a new three phase charger (TC, Brusa?). Will cut the charging time to about 1/3, but can be expensive and complicated regarding CAN-bus programming, which I don’t know anything about. This alternative would be great if some repair shop in Sweden could do the job.
3) Install charger (and battery?) from other suitable EV with 22kW onboard charger.
4) Make a separate connection for fast charging the traction battery without using the onboard charger. CCS? But maybe this is as complicated as installing a three phase charger?
5) ?
I’m also interested in if someone know any repair shop with colleagues in Sweden, or a domestic Swedish repair shop with EV-knowledge.
Thanks in advance!
