I was having a rake/nosey at the Vauxhall website and lo and behold the Ampera is mentioned as being European Car of the Year in 2012 and in the same breath as future electric models, Corsa (BEV) and Grandland X (PHEV).

Interesting! Returning from the dead, like a phoenix from the flame... when convenient for marketing. No doubt to disappear once the new models actually arrive towards the end of 2019.
