It's actually a legal requirement that speedos never under-read, and therefore to account for tolerances, they tend to bias them about 4% high. My Ampera gave exactly the speeds that yours does Andy - I just got used to flicking on the cruise control at those speeds instead of the indicated speeds.

And I completely agree about the tedious 50mph limits everywhere in Warwickshire. I have to suffer several miles of open, clear, wide road which some fool saw fit to set a 50mph limit on every day. Predictably, I end up tailgated for doing an indicated 54mph...

Mine does this loss of braking on a certain pothole I have to drive over every day on my commute - you get used to it. Drive slower, brake softer and you won't have the affect of the regen getting cut when a lack of traction occurs.
