The idea of replacing this myself is slightly terrifying, but things are always intimidating without prior knowledge.

I saw this video on YouTube and it looks incredibly simple to replace.

My 2012 Ampy always messaged me if I drove off with the flap open. Did this often!

Try a different charger and cable if you haven't already done so. You can also try disconnecting and reconnecting the 12v battery if you haven't tried that already.

Quick update, it seems that water for in the charging port. I pointed out to the dealership that it didn't have this issue prior to them servicing the vechicle and they replaced the charge port and only charged me £100 for the part. I was happy with this as the original quote was £500 and at least now I have a warranty on it. The car had done >100k miles now too.
