Wonder how that managed to get over here and whether the dealers would support it.
I was tempted to wait to see if the owner came back but there were other pressing engagements and I was driving my wife's MGF, so my credentials as EV enthusiast would have been rather suspect . . .

I like the colour - it is described on the Chevrolet Volt website as 'Green Mist Metallic' and I am sure that I saw an Ampera in the same colour earlier this year.

Good find but preserving "the owner's right to privacy" probably doesn't apply as it's parked in a public place!!
You may be right! And from the logo displayed the owner is clearly identifiable as well known Disney character :)

Colour looks similar to Spiky's Ampera, which I thought was called Silver Topaz.
It could be that but according to the GM publicity for the second generation Volts, they have changed a few of the colours - the blue and red are now much lighter and brighter and are described as 'Pacific Blue' and 'Cajun Red'.

'Green Mist' is another new colour that was not listed for the first generation cars - although I am sure I have seen this colour on an Ampera in Oxford but that could have been 'Silver Topaz' . . .

Two Amperas spotted 2/8/19, I was amazed to see two within a mile of each. There was a blue one and a dark grey one, I was to slow to flash near Warmwell, Dorset. I saw the grey one flash.

Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire, this morning at 10:45 . . .

Chance meeting - I greeted the driver with: "You don't see many of these around do you?"
And on this occasion I had his permission to take the photograph . . .

Not an Ampera, but possibly an even rarer sighting! This was observed parked in Banbury this morning.

A bit more information about this car, it was first registered in the UK less than a month ago and is listed on the DVLA website as being manufactured in 2018.

That's interesting as it would make it a private import rather than say an aborted GM/Opel/ Vaux plan to bring the Volt2 to the UK/Europe. Really want to know more about it now.

Hello to the white '14 plate Ampera owner who I was frantically waving at whilst we passed outside Wessex Trailers the other day.. I think I have seen you around Dorchester and on the Puddletown Bypass

I have said before that it is extremely regretable that the second series of the Chevrolet Volt did not make it to the UK but clearly, at least one example has made it! The car is UK registered but obviously LH drive. I have blacked out the registration plate to preserve the owner's right to privacy but I do hope this belongs to a forum member who can tell us more about the car . . .
As this was seen in the Oxford/Banbury area it could be US forces personnel deployed into the UK, would also help to explain the Disney badge. Drove one of these in the US last year, a big improvement on the version we have in the UK.

I thought of this. Especially since, after I had been searching Google for information on the Chevrolet Volt, I keep seeing advertisements appearing in the margins of this forum from "Military Autosource" and other specialist car dealers that service US military forces overseas.
