My wife's been impressed with the EV experience of my e-Niro BEV but wasn't ready to trust the nation's charging infrastructure and has bought an MG HS Plug-in hybrid.

When trying to insure it online; none of the sites have the HS PHEV as an existing vehicle option yet - only the HS ICE - so if anyone's been through the insurance hoops already we'd love to know who you insured with!

Also be good to start a own micro community if there's others out there.

Now I should go and update my 'signature'.

Had same problem trying to insure our EZS. QuoteMeHappy came good for us. Good price too. £258 slightly less than our previous Zoe.

Just to let you know - We got to QuoteMeHappy through a search on CompareTheMarkets. (all these companies that write their names as one word - the world's gone mad :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: )

Well that worked a treat - many thanks - it'll be nice to actually drive the car rather than just look at it.

I'm still interested to find any other HS Phev owners on here and then start the campaign for the smallest MG sub-forum!

You need to ask the Administrators to start you a sub-forum in the MG section. Don't go too far away. We'd like to hear from you now and again.

@andrew*debbie any chance on that sub-forum? Please.

They’ve looked at the Outlander and priced it £5K under that price (although you can have a GrandlandX for around the same price as a HS with dealer discounts). It boggles my mind how expensive all PHEVs are, I guess in the SUV segment there aren’t any 30-35K larger SUV EVs to push down prices (until VW / Skoda enter the market with the Id4 and the Enyak)
