As per the title, has anyone managed this? if you connect 5the phone to the cars WiFi it should work..

No car in Europe has wireless Android Auto. Ford may offer soon, but no date yet. The compatibility list is at link below and uses an asterisk to indicate wireless compatibility, as shown below.

The common issue is the cable from my experience. If you connect and have problems, go through every cable you have.

I joined this campaign on indiegogo, which tries to provide an aftermarket solution to wireless AA:
AAWireless
The problem is that they have had some delays... Currently the estimation for delivery is March 2021.
I'm hoping that this will work, especially since my Corsa-e provides wireless phone charging. It would be really nice to just drop my phone and get wireless charging and Android Auto, without the hassle of any cables.
But time will tell. I'll keep you guys updated when I receive it (hopefully).
