Use to show a picture of the car interior, now more basic. Got excited thought it might work without car plugged in but no!
Mine worked for the first time this morning. The app still gave me the error saying it had failed but when I got in the car was toasty warm and fully defrosted. First time its ever worked for me. Also having it preheated whilst plugged in bumped my efficiency up to 3.5miles/kwh on my 25mile A road/ motorway commute this morning! Ive not been able to get it above 2.7 previouslyAnybody else noticed the graphics change on the app for the air conditioning screen? Use to show a picture of the car interior, now more basic. Yeah I got the same as you. Lost the in car view and just got the budget looking blue bar nowJust wondered if anybody got the different graphics? I'm on android.
I was hoping it might mean it would work without car plugged in, but no.Yeah I got the same as you. Lost the in car view and just got the budget looking blue bar now
That's what I meant, Steve - mine works without it being plugged in. Twice now. With the simple view on home page, and on the more "picture/plan" view which you get by selecting "Air Conditioning" on the vehicle tab.I was hoping it might mean it would work without car plugged in, but no.
I'll keep trying, but tried it twice with no joy. That's what I meant, Steve - mine works without it being plugged in. Twice now. With the simple view on home page, and on the more "picture/plan" view which you get by selecting "Air Conditioning" on the vehicle tab.
That's on a Family, updated to 0783.
It's not worked the 3 times I have given it a go either, the car is in for a software update at the mo so I'm hopeful it will work after that. From other posts it seems that updating the car can add functions to the app also.First time its ever worked for me.
I'm on 0783 2.0 but still no joy. Could do with it in this weather. It's not worked the 3 times I have given it a go either, the car is in for a software update at the mo so I'm hopeful it will work after that. From other posts it seems that updating the car can add functions to the app also.

Sorry to hear that gents (assuming that to be the caseI'm on 0783 2.0 but still no joy. Could do with it in this weather.
Sounds like the aftershave clip from anchorman! For preheating for me, the app says it's failed 90% of the time, but works 50% of the time.
The only time mine failed is when I actually switched the heating/AC off in the car itself, before leaving it ( can’t remember why!). Every other time I’ve used the app, it’s worked.Until recently, I used to say that initiating a charge or starting the heating through the app worked about 50% of the time. Now it’s failing 100% of the time, which seems to coincide with the last app update.
Any tips?
I had a new Volvo before this and the app on that was great. It worked 100% of the time, kept a trip log of mileage and fuel used (great for business use). Remote start and climate were spot on, perfectly reliable and the ability to see where the car was on a map was useful and my insurance company treated that as a tracker so reduced my premium. I could also see if a tyre had gone flat overnight, if the screenwash was low, what the temperature was at the car and if a service was due and if it was, book it directly from the app.Mine has worked at least as well as any car app I have used, probably a little better but I've only had Nissan and VW apps so the bar isn't set too high
