Mind you, makes absolute sense for Apple as they will be much quicker to market with Hyundai and I think I am right in saying they hardly make anything they sell anyway.

Yes most of the phones and iPads are manufactued under contract.

Apple is mostly a software and design company. They do have manufacturing plants including one in Ireland that built most of the Apple products use.

They also own some of their component suppliers.
