I’ve yet to find a scenario where B suits so I don’t think I’ll bother complicating things in future and I’ll just stick with D
i don’t think the pedal uses the brakes either until the force required is greater than the motor can provideThis is interesting.
So even if you are in D, in ACC the car will use regen (‘engine braking’) to slow you rather than applying the brakes...
(Maybe only if you are using ‘assisted D’ with intelligent regen?)..
Yeah I agree, when in D and Comfort, which is what I think we are referring to as Normal, there is definitely predictive regen going on.I’d not really used “D” until today snd was pleasantly surprised, it wasn’t what I expected. I had it set in normal drive (comfort) and “D”. I think it suites my driving style better than B, but I need to play more to be sure. I note that you say that in normal and D, there’s no regen unless brake is pressed. This wasn’t my experience, regen was definitely far less, but I definitely saw the regen green bar moving on occasions. Not sure if there’s other settings I need to change or if it’s perhaps just another anomaly of my naughty car.
It does do that but it's not limited to just that. For example, It will start to apply regen braking if you're approaching a roundabout.Maybe regen under those circumstances happens when going downhill, and will apply just enough regen to maintain the desired speed rather than alliw the car to ouckbil speed in coasting?
