I only know of Leaf battery swaps and those require CANBUS tweaks to accept new battery. Does anyone know how it works for Outlander ? I would love to swap my current pack for 13.8kWh pack but have no idea where to start

Nope, not generally worth it. You go from 12->13.8kWh, and pay the same as a LEAF battery costs! It just doesn't make financial sense to upgrade these vehicles with OEM batteries, there's simply no gain compared to pure EVs

My outlander (12kWh pack ) barely takes in 7kWh. In UK you can source packs for £2000

It’s not too bad - on some days I charge it twice - just a thought so I can use the older pack for storage
