can anyone tell me what type batteries were used in a 2010 e-star international/modec/navistar van???? please help...

Lookup Modec on Wikipedia it appears there were 3 types fitted,
Lead acid, lithium ion phosphate and Sodium Nickel Chloride
If yours has the last type stay well clear and fit something else. These are a molten salt battery and run hot. Again see wikipedia
