I took delivery of a 2020 Kona Premium 64 Kwh a couple of weeks ago and set up bluelink on the day. It seemed to work fine for a couple of days and since then it almost always fails. A refresh works 50% of the time but things like remote unlock/AC always fail. This applies whether the vehicle is plugged in or not.

Am I doing something wrong / missing something or is the app just rubbish?

Same here, generally with an August 20 car. Often a resend will be OK, sometimes not!
I was told that the unlock will only work if the app locked it, not if the key or the door button locked it.
Can`t remember where I gleaned that from.

I don’t know what’s happened recently but Bluelink has started working every time, first time - over the last month or so?

That’s locking/unlocking and turning heating on.

Always used to fail first time and then work on re-try.

My20 Kona here.

Perhaps they kicked the server or something.

A big move towards the ideal server configuration should be more than one doing the same job in tandem so if one server fails there's an automatic failover to the others with no customer perception of problem and a guarantee of 100% uptime. Then as more customers use the service its about additional servers to match capacity with demand.
