Question is, does BMW's use of a plugin-hybrid for the i8 (and a range extender on the i3) undermine their "electric" credentials and set back the EV movement by reinforcing the "not ready for the big time" views, or does it serve as the perfect "gateway drug" to get people hooked on the EV smile?!
