Go into the head unit and in the “Settings” turn OFF the “Lane Keep Assist” function.
This will prevent the constant “Bonging” while you are driving.
With this turned off, you will then only get the one set of bongs to advise you what is turned off or on.
Regarding wanting the constant display of the MPH in the dash panel,
Allow the car to run through all of its checks first, then you can press the OK button on the right hand side of the steering wheel, then use either the top or right side button to return the MPH indicator to the dash panel.
Every time the car presents the driver with a warning, it will over ride the MPH display in favour of the warning message.
So you have to “Okay” the warning, then use the buttons to restore the MPH figures to the screen.
Turning off the “Lane Keep Assist” will make the cabin a much better place by reducing the amount of “Bongs” and all that button bashing to arrive at the display you want the most.
You can temporarily disarm the “Lane Keep Assist” by pushed down on the button on the indicator arm twice.
But when you restart the car, it will default back to it being active !.
I did this for a few weeks and then got feed up of turning off on every trip.
Turn it off in the head unit is my best advice !.
Savour the peace ( almost ).
