Just downloaded the new BP Pulse app. Problem 1. Despite following all instructions which said Polar balance would be transferred over, it hasn’t credited it, although the Polar apps balance has vanished. Then, after adding a card, I tried to ‘Top up’ balance, and having selected the card (which then highlights said card) and hitting ‘PAY NOW’ no balance is showing?! I realise there could be a bit of a delay, but it’s been 2 hours and if I’d tried to do this whilst waiting for a charge I’d have been well stuffed. I’d like to know where the old Polar credit is at the moment, thankfully, only had a tenner on it.

Called customer services. On hold for 48 mins, to be told theyd open a case file.
Absolutely shocking service !.
It has been reported in another thread, that the original RFID card for the Polar Plus service with a monthly paid subscription will now not give access to the charging units and that new RFID cards are being sent out to subscribers!.
What are you meant to do in the mean time !.

Well, the credit’s finally showed up after almost a week. What’s nagging me now though...... is credit showing because of them opening a case, or is there always a big delay between adding credit and it showing, and if I could’ve charged despite it showing zero balance!

I'm not a fan of BP in any form, but for me the App updated itself and my balance was present as soon as I logged in.
Like others I find that the map is useless but entering the id of the post allowed me to start a charge.
One minor issue with the App is that it's incapable of displaying a charge time of more than an hour - this was AC on my LEAF today - over 9kWh in half an hour? I think not.

Yeah for me, my details on the iOS app and the BP Pulse website are out of sync. I had a previous BP chargemaster / Polar account.

I recently upgraded to a subscription with BP Pulse, but my app still says 'Pending' and shows an old balance from before their rebrand. The website shows that my account is active (and has much more credit, from a Polestar offer I applied).

I've raised a support request with them

I recently downloaded the BP Pulse App and created an account. When I login it hangs with "Just a sec... We are bringing over all your details from your Polar account."
I called BP customer services on 0330 016 5126 and the person I spoke to seemed very surprised with my login issue.
He said he'd raise a case.

However a quick Google search suggests this is a widespread problem!

Do you need to register with BP pulse to use their charging points?
That depends. If it's an ultracharge unit or HPC then you will be able to use a contactless credit card (at a higher price). If it's an older rapid charge unit, or one of their AC Charge posts then you will need the app to use their pay as you go service, or sign up to their Polar Plus network for a monthly fee to get a RFID Card and reduced rates.

Zap Map will help you to find out what chargers on their network support contactless payments.
