Engineer visited today and replaced the old white oval Chargemaster unit.
Have now got a bp pulse home which does away with sim card and connects to home WiFi.
They are supplying these if you have a comms issue. (unreliable 2g or 3g)
I was still within the warranty period so replaced foc.

Both Android and Online versions are available after they have been registered by BP.
Took a day for them to link.
Still "clunky" to logon and you have to navigate lots of links to setup.
Your car make and model.
Your tariff peak and off peak.
Scheduling charge times or immediate charging.
Disable the unit (locking)
Adjust Led light brightness and if you want the socket halo on or off.
Notifications.
Charging history.
My WiFi strength is listed as average and have yet to have any problems connecting.
I have not used Scheduling as Octopus IO controls the car.
As a "dumb" socket it has been working ok.
There is a Facebook Users page (I am not on FB) which has a lot of unhappy users

It looks horrible a lot of people seem to care about the aesthetics. Why the blue cable ? The design of this thing makes the Zappi look like a design masterpiece....
My first thought is it looks awful. My second thought is the functionality and support seems inferior to many other chargers. Am i missing something?

Unit supplying charge to car ok.
Problem with the charging cost history.
You can enter your tariff cost on a 24 hour setting, so peak and off-peak.
Unfortunately this does not work in the charging history calculations 😕
I get a calculation which is way out. £1.72 when it it should be 0.80.
To solve this I have to put my off-peak cost as my standard tariff !!
This is the same as the old oval unit app where you only could enter one tariff.
Not smart.

The setting of all day (flat rate option) at 0.75p also does not work
Regardless of what tariff is entered it calculates charging history at 20p.
