Can anyone with a relatively new Soul or Niro comment on quality, both in terms of build and quality control?
Thanks

My Niro seems good that way. Granted, I've not gone over it with a microscope like Tesla owners!

Kia/Hyundai have come on in leaps and bounds. I would put them up with the Japanese cars for reliability and build quality these days. A far cry from 10 years ago.

Still doing your research then Steve !.
The e.Nero is a very popular choice.
The main attraction is it’s range.
Nothing wrong with that !.
Last time I checked, the wait time was running at about 12 to 14 months.
That was in early 2019 before it won best EV of the year.
God only knows what the wait time is now !.
EV wait times are always a real big pain in the bum.
Difficult to manage if you are coming to the end of a PCP deal and the wait list is long on the BEV of your choice.
Even if you are buying the car straight out, because the value of your trade in car is dropping all the time.
It can be very frustrating !.
You spends weeks, even months researching what car will suit your needs best.
You then go to place your order and are then hit with the bomb shell on the long wait times.
Being under a 12 months wait and your lucky.
Some of the very early deposit holders in the U.K. had to wait over 3 years for their model 3’s.
The current COVID 19 situation has done nothing to help the increase of EV’s also.

Yep, still reading a lot and watching vids. I've sort of narrowed it down a bit but that is only based on what I've read up on, so I just need to get out one day and actually try some.
This was one of the cars that has my attention, along with a couple of others in particular.
I'm sure when I try some and discover waiting times, all will change again.
Thanks for the heads up....

Your very welcome !.
You appear to warming a little to idea of a SUV ?.
With a young family and all the “Stuff” that brings, I think you are being very sensible.
We had a one week family holiday in cottage in Yorkshire last year.
My son has two young girls aged 2 and 7.
He has a VW Tiguan with a roof top box ( brilliant ).
When we set off, his boot was full, his roof top box was full.
The back seat and boot of my Golf was also full !.
We had small bikes, scooters and loads of things you need for a family holiday.
With young children a hatchback with plenty of space is an absolute must !.
Another thing to and to your check list Steve.
Make sure your new car can accept a roof box !.
You will thank me the next time you want to go away and you have ALL that stuff to pack !.
Happy days.
