Hi there all, I am new to this forum. I have a GTE which is linked to a Rolec 16amp charging point. I can't seem to get the defined charging timer on the car to work. Not good at techie stuff so please bear with me, I ticked the one which says charged ready to go by 7am as this should start charging about 5am. And I am on Agile Octopus, but the car just started charging straight away. The little light by the charging point looks right as it has a clock against it, but the opening badge has become dislodged from the locking device. Any thoughts ?

What have you got set as the minimum charge level?

If you have a departure time set the car will charge to the minimum charge level immediately, and then stop. It will then complete the charge based on the required departure time.

Have you pressed the button with the clock/timer on it? It should flash green, rather than be a constant green if it is a timed set... (this is for the e-Golf - can't quite remember if it's the same for the GTE)

Yes, as ChrisCross says, check your (adjustable) minimum charge level in your settings.
There is a sliding scale you can set.
If your timer is set, as soon as you connect a charger it will immediately charge up to the set level, THEN STOP.
The remaining charge will commence to sync with your departure time.
