Not a glittering recommendation for V2G. Battery degradation is a major concern from consumers in the study. The cost of hardware, having a not fully charged car, and minimal financial benefits are other concerns.
If the aim is to even out grid load then I would recommend local thermal storage with a local thermal store to provide domestic heating (which is what I have) This would become important in reducing CO2 emissions from fossil fuels and allowing the grid to use wind power overnight.

Agreed it's not a glittering recommendation. A warwick study suggest that battery life could be improved with V2G but I think this may be due to the battery SOC staying well away from extreme highs and lows and a similar effect could be seen with careful use of smart charging.
