Does anyone know of a way to release a jammed flap on the charging port?

Mine won't open and I'm very reluctant to force it.

Generally, it's been fine. Occasionally it would stick a little, or not want to release the cable, but now it is stuck. I wouldn't mind (apart from the lack of charging, naturally) but the thing thinks it is open and keeps pinging a warning each time I brake.

If you can't get it unlocked manually it's fairly easy to take the trim piece off and remove the entire front charging port. Four Torx T15/T20 screws. Then lift it off and you can free the lock from the other side.

Hi @tom66 did you actually remove the front grill? I've removed the four screws without any problem, but the grill is still firmly in place.

I'm guessing that it might be clipped somewhere, but I'm not going to force it only to find out that I've missed another fixing!

The badge is mounted to that front badge/bumper assembly. You should be able to free the lock if you look carefully at the mechanism. I was interested in the other lock on my car so did not attempt that repair.
