The live map is looking mostly blue again after going grey earlier this afternoon.
The live map webpage is not displaying correctly which they knew about from yesterday.
Still work to be done and the new app coming on monday is an unknown quantity.

Thanks guys. Instavolt Perth also on my list - as with Osprey reliable if expensive. And I don’t mind paying for reliability when out and about.

Be.EV app is completely blank for me just now.
You are not alone. The MFG app map is also blank.
I have a mental image of someone in a data centre fixing the CPS comms issue by swapping an Ethernet cable from one server to another and thereby messing up the other Swarco stuff.
I’m trying to give them a chance, but this feels very amateurish to me.

The app looks more stable. I've went through the motions of starting a charge and it appears that it would work. I won't be in a position to give it a go until tomorrow now. Will report back.
I think it's been pulled from the play store (until next week), but might now work for those who installed it when it was available. .

I got a charge from a CPS machine today with my CYC card.
So I asked CPS via Twitter if that would still be the case on Friday ahead of a trip. Their response: only a CPS card will work, or a call to theirservice centre on 0141 648 0750.
Interesting, but not what I had been led to believe by them. Had you asked for your details to be transferred to the CPS scheme and had an email confirmation that you have been transferred to the CPS scheme?

Yes, although I’ve used my CYC card on both sides of the border for years so wasn’t a CPS member till now. I got an email on Friday saying i was now a CPS member. But they’ve (hopefully) sent my new CPS card to my home address in Manchester and I’m in Aberdeen this week!
I’m in the same position. They’ve just confirmed to me (very quickly) via twitter that CYC cards will not work and are sending me a CPS card. Won’t get that until I’m back home in 10 day‘s time so just hoping there’s a phone signal when I need to charge. They say they would have adopted CYC rfid cards onto the system but BP wouldn’t permit it.
I haven't done a long trip in my car yet but was hoping to head north from Hampshire in September after the schools go back and would at least get as far as Falkirk and Kinross to visit friends. Will all the important issues have been sorted by then?! I'd hope to get a CPS card and a functioning app..

We all hope they will be fixed by then, but should that not be the case, there will be less pressure on the charger network because @farmergiles will have had his thrombo by then, probably found lying in Lochgilphead car park with his phone clenched in his on hand on the CPS twitter feed

Me too, near Tarbert for a week from Sunday.
Apparently (from the horse‘s mouth) currently at some chargers ANY rfid card (e.g. bank card) is starting a charge. A bit hit and miss but worth a try if you’re stuck without a phone signal so can’t call them to start a charge.

I'm sure my CPS card will work just fine next week as will everyone elses.
Not sure about the app next week though - I'll give it 50:50.
I used to live on my yacht in Tarbert harbour for 6months many years ago. I really like the village but as a liveaboard, its quite noisy due to the commercial fishing boats coming and going at all hours (& ignoring the 4mph speed limit)
The charger at Kennacraig ferry terminal 5miles further south is usually reliable in the event that Lochgilphead packs in.
