I have a Commando socket + OHME cable. To date, I've been putting the little rubber cap on and leaving the plug draped over the socket when I go out. Doesn't seem ideal, and there are always a few drops of water sneaking in around the rubber.

Is a holster a good idea? Are they actually waterproof - more waterproof than the rubber cap? Or is a little bit of water not something to worry about?

Any recommendations?

No they are not.

I have Type 1 car so I've got a Type 1 cable and holster. It's more of a convenience feature, where the cable becomes firmly attached to the wall with just a push. Meaning I don't need touching the actual cable, which might be wet.

If you can easily drape the cable over the socket, as mentioned, cap off connector downwards, it achieves similar result.

My Ohme and 32A commando live in the garage beside the old untethered Chargemaster unit so just wrap the cable around that. Quite fancied adding a holster but unsure if worth it :)
