Holidaying is Dorest at present. Our nearest fast charger in Dorchester is with ChargerNet. Worked out before we left it was out of action. Contacted them and they had not been informed. Said it would take about a week to get an Engineer. Got down here on Saturday and went to another ChargerNet in Blandford Forum to find that one out of action. Phoned up and was again told they were going to get an Engineer out to it, or may replace it.

Looking future afield on ZapMap found four other ChargerNet chargers out of action. From Weymouth to Poole and beyond. In fact yet to find one working.

This network seems very unreliable.

Customer service seem pretty 'not bothered'. An email enquiry not answered five days later.

Likewise.

Just returned from week in Weymouth and experienced similar with the CCS chargernet in Weymouth harbourside carpark - similar story and attitude from customer services. Rang and was told it has been out of action a while and awaiting engineer visit. Used a very good (150kw) Polar at BP station in Weymouth and PodPoint (50kw) at Lidl on Portland.

Enjoy your holidays

Used the PodPoint at Portland yesterday. Two goes to connect (probably operator error). After that excellent. 30 - 90% in 45 minites. And a great location. Chisel Beach or watch the Windsurfers!

I am planning the try the BP next.

One correction from yesterday. The charger at Morrisons in Blandford Forum is a GeniePoint, not ChargerNet

All I can see in Blandford on Zap-Map is the GeniePoint rapid at Morrison's and a 7kW out-of-action PodPoint at Tesco.
My error from yesterday. Morrison's charger is a GeniePoint. Apologies

The BP service station has coffee in the shop, a car wash (if you need it) but not much to see. Still, it will be quick.

So after this we were around Poole and Bournemouth a couple of days ago. Every ChargerNet unit in the area appeared not to be working when reading chats on ZapMap some of the comments are interesting. Reading up ChargerNet is the name for a network of Electric Vehicle in and around Poole Bournemouth area. Will contact both Poole and Bournemouth councils as they promote the chargers on their website.

Plan B for us was a Toby Carvery Poole
