So, I've already got a Zoe and am very pleased with it. Now we're thinking of swapping the other (ICE) car for a Kangoo ZE van.

Does anyone know anything about the charging on a Kangoo ZE van? I know that it only charges at 3kW, not 3-42kW like Zoe, but for local running around with stuff in the back it looks like something we could make good use of.
Whilst the Kangoo looks like it's got a type 2 plug like Zoe, could I plug one into my 7kW home charger? Is the Kangoo smart enough to simply just take the 3kW that it wants?

I asked for the same situation and this was what the renault team answered:
Hi Hubert,
our experts just told us that there is no problem for your to charge at the station you mentionned earlier: it's the vehicle which deals with the power.
Have a nice day,
The Renault Z.E. team
