Loving our new Corsa and have a podpoint charger installed

all battery charging ideas and concepts we have learnt over the years probably don’t apply anymore

so what’s the best approach ? Should I let it run low 15% and do a long charge or is it better to just do regular top ups from say 80%

what Is best practise for battery health and range ?

It's recommended to charge from around 20% up to 80%. Charge to 100% if you are going to use the car right away (Li-Ion batteries don't like to hold full charge or be fully depleted for a long time).

Do take care to charge about once a month to 100% in order to enable cell balancing.
Also, if the car isn't going to be in use for a while, make sure to charge up to around 50%.
That will protect the battery from going too low (as mentioned) due to natural self-discharge.

BTW, the GOM isn't so accurate, but if you feel that it's always way off, I have read that it could be useful to go even lower than 20% (let's say 10%) and then fully charge to 100%.
That should help the BMS and GOM recalibrate and give more accurate results.
