Excuse me if being thick but if you were e.g. ICE'd and had to park in next space but the charger's cable didn't reach, could you plug the male end of the charger's cable into the female end of your cable that came with car and then the male end into the car so acting as an extension?

No, not with 'proper' cables. The protocol of the design is to prevent 'daisy-chaining', which is what you are describing.

There are some 'modified' cables out there that allow this, but they are butchered versions of what they should be.

Get yourself a 10m cable if you are routinely out and about, for precisely this scenario. 10m is 'usable' in a normal situation without too much extra faff, if any, whilst also offering that 'just bit extra' to get around a corner and a few extra parking bays.

If you are talking about trying to do this using a 43kW rapid charge fixed lead, then it is the same thing but more so.

Don't even think about bunging up a 43kW rapid AC with a single phase charging car anyway. Just don't do it, bad form. That would make you little better than the ICE blocker.
