We are looking into getting an EV however it looks like we won’t be eligible for the at home pod point grant. Can anyone recommended companies/websites for pod points. And what is the average price including installation? We want as cheap as possible really...

Installation costs will vary a lot, because the equipment you need, amount of work to be done depends on your existing supply.

If you're lucky enough to have spare capacity in your main fuse and consumer unit, and a suitable earth, you could install a commando socket + OHME cable. This is what I did. Was £200 for the cable, and under £100 for the socket, including installation. Cheaper than most installs with the grant anyway.

A local electrician might advise on what your existing electrics are like and what the best solution would be.

Why won't you be eligible? Some of the issues that might make you ineligible will also increase the self funded cost too. It would others give opinions if you list your specific factors
