Hi - I'm about to get a Used Leaf 24 - looking for 7kw charger - have solar panels so apparently I need a zappi to take advantage of those. The zappi 2 requires no earthing, so cost should be reasonable.

Any idea who is good to fit it? I saw earlier threads suggesting £600 install was alot - now the cheapest I've seen is nearer £800?!

Thanks :)

Hi I work for the Electric Vehicle Consumer Code for Home Chargepoints. We are a non for profit who run other codes and schemes too including the Chartered Trading Standards approved code RECC. EVCC raises standards for installers of home chargepoints and is there to protect consumers. Should you choose an EVCC member then they must comply with our standards which apply to sales, the contract, cancellation rights, after sales etc. We also have a dispute resolution service.

Our current members are listed on our website, www.electric-vehicle.org.uk.

Good luck with you chargepoint install.

I've had my Zappi for a couple of years now. When I posted a thread on here, one company rep replied with an offer for £300 (after the then £500 grant). I suspect there's a lot of demand right now as well as a lower grant, plus the Zappi 2 is a bit more expensive than the original.

I think the general rule of thumb now is the current £350 grant covers the labour and additional materials so whatever the RRP of the charger is will be what you pay.

@samuelodog I believe the EO Mini Pro is compatible with solar with the EO Smart Hub. Octopus have an offer on the EO listing the hub as an extra £60. Looks like £605 all in for untethered. eo | Octopus Electric vehicles
