Have the seats been folded and perhaps not clicked back fully in place? Might be something as daft as that.
I’ve had it in my 4 + a couple of times couldn’t see any reason, nobody has been in the back yet. When switching off my wife's new 4+ and opening the door we get a "Check Rear Seats" warning. I'm assuming this is because the Easy access function is moving the seat backwards but we didn't get this on our previous Niro hybrid FE which also had the easy access function.
Disabling the Easy Access doesn't appear to prevent the warning coming up though.
Can anyone please confirm this is normal and not a "real" warning about the rear seats themselves?
just thought if they were, that would trigger a warning. No Why?
Not sure if the 4+ e-niro has this feature but will check, although the warning looks the same there is no "OK" option and no one was in the rear. The rear occupancy alert can be turned off in the settings.
I've tried both fastened and not and no difference. Also checked the electrical connector to the seat base in the boot and all looked fine. And checked seat backs are fully locked in placeare the rear seat belts fastened
Do you have Easy Access enabled ?I've never seen the warning come up on my car.
I'm not sure this is a condition to be met. I have had the warning several times without opening a rear door, unless it means a rear door opened not just in the moment of powering off the car, but at any time since the car started.AND
- A rear door has been opened
Yes, thats my experience. I've had the warning with just a jumper being left on the rear seats. I assumed a (sensitive) weight trigger.I'm not sure this is a condition to be met. I have had the warning several times without opening a rear door, unless it means a rear door opened not just in the moment of powering off the car, but at any time since the car started.
I thought it was triggered by detecting some weight in the seats, like shopping bags, baby seat, etc.
... or indeed left ANYTHING on the back seat. Seems to be pressure sensitive (like the fasten seat belt warnings)The rear occupancy alert can be turned off in the settings. It's to ensure you don't leave anyone in the back.
