I was never worried by this story as I found out the facts by listening to TransportEvolved podcast. Once I knew it was leaking coolant that caught fire some two weeks after the damage, I said to myself "if I couldnt get out of the car in that amount of time, a fire would be the least of my worries".
Then GM designed a modification to the battery holding frame to reduce the risk further.
It wouldn't have made the news if all those fisker woes hadn't happened.
