Kudos to Stretton Climate Care here, a local voluntary group, who saw the need and made it happen.

The post is a Chargemaster post, though one that accepts plug in midlands cards as well (I used my pim today). It looks like an older design that has often failed elsewhere but fingers crossed!

There are notices to say it is free to charge currently. It is in the coop car park and you have to pay to park still. Previously seen both bays iced but neither were today - the location means you could only use the two bays to reach the post and is dangerously close to the coop entrance but they are marked and signed.

Post owned as an asset by the parish council. Electricity provided by the coop. Post purchased in part or full by central funds Shropshire along with all councils called (from memory) sustainable transport fund. A good example of partnership.

In the centre of town but close to the A 49 - the main trunk road from Shrewsbury - Ludlow - Leominster.

Good to see a parish council investing in charging infrastructure.
