Average speed 12 mph - where on earth are you driving?

To get 250 miles you’d need to drive for over 20 hours!

Average speed of London traffic is 8mph so I’m doing quite well! Took me 11 days to do this mileage as I was using the car as I normally do. Mostly 30mph speed limit but 40 and 50 from time to time. Driving carefully but not painfully slow and not annoying other road users (well those driving at legal or sensible speeds!).

In my normal 20 miles mixed road commute (bit of slow traffic, A road, motorway) I can get it to predict 183 miles, but we do one or two 80 mile round trips mainly on motorways a week at 60mph+ which will drop it to 160 predicted (once added up). It shows how much more energy is used at higher speeds!

I don’t think you can judge mpkwh over 20mile sessions (unless of course that’s your only journey)

I can do a short journey from mine to the rugby club and i can get over 5mpkwh in one direction but only 3 and a bit on the way back.

Best to keep the car monitoring over a few weeks

Another 72 miles with 20kWh remaining. I’d have to drive pretty badly not to achieve that! Come on Sandy, give me a break 😉

Even my evezy app has faith in me getting those 72 miles, and it always underestimates range remaining!

Disappointed that we are almost a year into this challenge and still no one has hit 200miles on a single charge! I was expecting some enterprising individual to aim for 250miles to be honest.

I’m that enterprising individual you’ve been waiting for. I’m aiming for 250, and at the moment I’m on target. By the way, how come I’ve got 0 in the trip report for energy saved?

A fair question but as I’ve said before average speed in London is 8mph! It would be interesting if the on board computer could give another figure which didn’t include the time that you were stationary.
