I know when you remotely activate the HVAC system from the app, as well as heating the car, it heats the battery if necessary (as indicated by the snowflake battery symbol in the app).

But what if the battery is cold but the car is warm (e.g. today 1Deg C outside but sunshine on the car means inside temp is 20 degrees).

When I turn on the heater, using the app, the a/c activates as indicated by blue arrows to cool the car down but the battery is heating as it is under the car and cold presumably.

I wonder if there is a way just to heat the battery without heating or cooling the car interior? Maybe there should be?

You're better off in that situation upping your temperature to heat the car and the battery, or saving energy and not pre-heating at all.

Or if you truly want it colder, open the windows for about 30 seconds also saving energy. The battery will warm up from driving.
