Can't be bothered to watch it but of course range is reduced in cold weather. We were getting around 180 miles. So 3 mpkw.
Now it's warmer that's nearer 3.4 mpkw so around 210-220.
You drive to ensure you have a charge point plus enough to reach the next one in case.
You use the apps to check availability and try and stick to locations with a group of charge points.
But if I was struggling with charge I'd sit tight well before I ran out of charge because you can run the heating for ages on very little traction charge.

Plan to fail and fail to plan..... Driving in snow with a RWD sports car with (probably) summer tires. Said at 80+ miles of range, knew he was a few miles short but drove until nearly out of juice and then looked for charger.

That's 10min of my life I'll never get back Don't bother watching.

Edit: Just watched.

1.) He didn't bother to charge at Warrington when he had 87 miles left.
2.) He didn't bother to look at Zapmap comments 'or whatever it is (!)' until he was actually at Morrisons in Buxton & would have seen all the problems.
3.) Ditto, didn't notice BP pulse comments also.
4.) Amazingly he's now bought himself a type 2 lead.

I watched it the other day when he first published it. I would say exactly the same issues could easily happen in a ICE car if you go out unprepared for the conditions, a lot of snow came down that particular evening.

He made a big deal about the lack of grip too, a two wheel drive Porsche in the snow, who would have thought it.

As the last poster noted, nothing to do with being an EV. Ten years or so ago when I lived in the Alps I visited the UK for Christmas and avoided driving on a few days: not that my old Fabia was unable to cope but that I'd be caught in the traffic that couldn't. Castle Hill in Maidenhead was a highly amusing spectacle with all the posh cars if you were fortunate enough to be on foot!

Couldn’t watch the tripe all the way through. I kept involuntarily wanting to punch the screen.

Kept thinking this MF really, really doesn’t deserve to be driving a Taycan. What a total disgrace to fellow owners.
