Is that a menu accessible using an OBD dongle and app? There isn't one in the normal menus that I can find or I would have it off by default and switch in on when needed instead of switching it off as soon as I start the car and then on again on odd occasions it is useful.

It’s just a value so you can turn it down as far as you want.

Just realised this is about the eGolf not the Niro. The eGolf as so quiet that I don't notice at at all, and it's probably no help to pedestrians. The Niro is quite loud, beeps in reverse and it's rather annoying and I switch it off most of the time.
