More than 25,000 electric Konas in South Korea recalled over fires and battery pack failures. Software will be updated and battery packs replaced according to Reuters. Apparently there are similar plans for the USA.
Some reports say this recall is being extended to Europe and UK.
Does the Kia e-niro share the same drive train and battery pack ?

That is what I thought, but tried to find a proper reference and I could not....

But did find a recent news that Kia/Hyundai is moving to LG Chem? Source: Hyundai and Kia Choose LG Chem as Supplier of Batteries for Pure EVs

I hadn't read about Kia moving to LG Chem. Actually, it seems that Hyundai is partnering with SK on a circular battery eco-system: Hyundai partners with battery manufacturer on recycling | Engine + Powertrain Technology International
