Thinking of getting some door edge protectors for my Zoe but have read that they can cause rusting as they collect and trap water. Found this - anyone used anything similar?

I have used door edge protectors on my older Zoe for 3 years and not a mark on the paintwork... I gently pull them off when I wash the car so the paintwork is cleaned and waxed every few weeks... no issues
