Had a parcel delivered today the driver looked frozen. He’s using a leaf van but concerned about using heater too much as he wants to get back to depot.
Feel sorry for them now the weathers changed.
I feel sorry for all of the couriers working for buttons in the gig economy - ones I talk to claim to be working 7 days a week to survive. The seat heater should be his friend - very low energy usage but toasty.

At least DPD are giving them delivery routes that are possible on one charge even if that means no heater. My local depot come up with some seriously inefficient routes across long distances. As a result you regularly see DPD's eNV200 vans connected to public chargers in my area in the early afternoons.

Still, could be worse. DPD Also use Paxsters around here too. If you have to drive one of them you don't get the choice of heating, or even windows and doors!

Are couriers gig economy now? I thought that even the pay per delivery roles within big firms came with a guaranteed minimum number of drops every week.

Obviously Amazon Flex etc are gig economy, but those are designed to be and advertised as supplementary income not sole source of.

a heated cover that slips over the seat
Had one of these years ago, with massaging ability, in my old ICE. Very nice. Powered from the, then, cigarette lighter socket.
